Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Believory, operated by American Home Goods LLC (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child for whom you arrange calls. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping access to your phone and account secure, and for all activity under your account.

2. The service

Believory arranges short, AI-powered novelty phone calls between your child and a fictional character. The characters are entertainment; they are AI and not real people. Calls are recorded and transcribed so we can provide the call and create memory summaries and memories, as described in our Privacy Policy. By registering you consent to this recording.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service for anything unlawful or harmful; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service; provide information about a child without being their parent or guardian; or use the service to harass or harm anyone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

  • The paid plan costs $19.99 per year (USD), billed through Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account portal; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid term.
  • We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: contact us within 30 days of a subscription charge for a full refund. The nominal (approximately $1) parental-verification charge, if applicable, is refunded automatically. After the 30-day window the current term is non-refundable, but you keep access until it ends.
  • We may change pricing prospectively with notice before your next renewal.

5. Free tier

We may offer a free tier with limited call length or features. We may modify or discontinue the free tier at any time.

6. Intellectual property

The service, characters, and content are owned by American Home Goods LLC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for its intended purpose. Recordings and summaries of your own calls are made available to you through your account.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated conversation may occasionally be inaccurate or unexpected. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, American Home Goods LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify American Home Goods LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to comply with law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in North Carolina — except that either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. To the extent permitted by law, you and we waive the right to a jury trial and to bring or participate in a class or representative action.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated and, where required, will ask for your renewed agreement. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
